Is there a simple way to test the purity of essential oil of lavender and tea tree?

I bought two bottles of essential oil from an online merchant. They said that these are 100% pure and natural. How can I be sure that these are really pure.

The methods suggested of putting drops of oil on paper will tell you if the Essential Oils have been diluted with a vegetable or carrier oil. However that method won’t work to test if there are any other adulterants in the essential oils, or whether anything else has been done to the oil. Pure and natural are not officially defined terms, so won’t on their own guarantee quality

You really need to buy from a reputable supplier to be sure you have bought quality essential oils.
